Frequently Asked Questions...
What is the best notebook/laptop for word processing?
I would like to get a basic laptop/notebook just for word processing. It doesn't need to access the internet or have power point or Excel or anything like that. I'm aware of the NEO and Dana. Are there any other similar things on the market?
Answer:
Any cheap netbook should do you fine - but they have small screens and keyboards. So just buy the cheapest, well-built, full-size laptop you can find.
Don't forget to install an Office Suite, like Microsoft Office or OpenOffice.
EDIT: The NEO and Dana appear to not have full size keyboards, and have small b&w screens. They also run PalmOS, which basically means it's a Palm Pilot with a keyboard. As such, at $220, I think they're overpriced - you can get a netbook with a Windows, which will let you install the full Microsoft Office, and has a much stronger processor, and a bigger, color, screen for only $300. Then again, the NEO/Dana is cheaper, and has better battery life. However, you can get a used Palm Pilot Tungsten, which has a larger color screen than the NEO/Dana, and a keyboard for if for less than $100 on Ebay.
