Fraud crime rises with iPhone Insurance
An iPhone insurancecompany is reporting that some iPhone enthusiasts, in their quest to lay their hands on the latest model of the blockbuster device, are indulging in insurance frauds.
Insurance firm, Supercover Insurance, which largely covers electronic gadgets, asserted that the insurance claims on smartphone increase to about 50 percent whenever a new model of the iPhone hits the floor.
Many people are prepared not only to compromise their morals but also to break the law by committing insurance fraud which is quite alarming, even though iPhone insurance can be an effective way to insure and protect your Apple iPhone (which is about £550 to replace). All Probable fraud conditions are handed to the Police and face potential prosecution.
There have been a great increase in the number of insurance fraud cases which has increased in parallel with every release of a new iPhone model - and also in parallel with the credit crunch and recession.
The company reckons that around 40 percent of these claims filed during this period are suspicious, with users deliberately ruining their old iPhone in a bid to get it upgraded to a new model.
Carmi Korine, director of the insurance firm, noted: “While most iPhone insurance customers take out insurance because they value their iPhone, we started to notice increases in claims as new and upgraded iPhones were launched.”

Kroine suggested that the next-generation “must-have spec” smartphone can be grabbed by a significant number of iPhone users by simply resorting to these extreme measures.
Interestingly, the obsession for the iPhone’s latest model goes to an extent that users opt for bashing their erstwhile model with hammer blows, or even drive their car over it, the iPhone insurance group claimed.
