Nokia N8 Reviews - Read This Before You Purchase This Smartphone
This is a solid phone. I've only had it a month, and I haven't had time nor inclination to experience with all the capabilities. But, long-time or old-time Symbian users (including me) will appreciate the familiar menus and methodologies in a more up-to-date capacitive touchscreen interface device. I do not love this phone, but I really like it!!
If you want to buy Nokia Symbian smartphone now, you know what you're going to get, so do it now you won't regret. I was a cheerful Nokia E71 user and I replaced it with this new N8.I am a happy Nokia N8 USA user now. The free mapping software program is actually incredible. The phone knows where you are the moment you activate the Nokia Maps. I find myself with it a whole lot more than the built in GPS of my car. The newest version of Ovi Maps comes equipped with all the maps and high-end, car grade navigation features you need free of charge and it is yours to keep for thelifetime of the smartphone. No additional licenses needed for extra countries, regions or services like traffic information or city guides. This really my best purchase in 2011, Listed below are some of my comments about Nokia N8.
Fast 3G Connectivity
When associated with a compatible 3G network, you'll enjoy a high-speed connection offering a variety of feature-rich wireless services from data connectivity in your office to multimedia streaming, and take advantage of simultaneous voice and data services. Update your status, share location and photos, and view live feeds from Twitter and facebook right on the home screen
Symbian^3 Operating System
This Nokia N8 ideal for the Symbian lover wanting a new experience, This Symbian^3 software enabling you to enjoy over 250 latest features, including more effective memory management,Usability enhancements across the user interface, including single tap, multi-touch, new 2D and 3D graphics architecture and a lot more.
Free Worldwide Walk and Drive Navigation
The N8's map application, Ovi Maps, is very useful, and is also a vast improvement within the built-in Map application on the N900 (which was so bad that a third party application was written). The N8 is a pretty fair GPS device, and will operate in offline mode, if the maps for the current area have been preloaded. And preloading maps, though not strictly necessary when connectivity is present, is a snap from within the map application itself (preferably over WiFi), or from Nokia's companion PC Suite. This is a handy feature for poor/no service areas. And the maps are free from Nokia and don't take up that much room if they're loaded judiciously. The N8 Map application can operate in compass mode, which is certainly nice when travelling.
Camera
I felt very exited when I received the telephone as I was looking to get a mobile phone with good camera then i could stop carrying my point and shoot camera around, and I was so happy because Nokia N8 has a good camera. The 12MP Camera with Carl Zeiss Optics is amazing. Personally i have tried every function on it such as the software to compose videos with titles and credits. You are able to capture great images as well as 720p high-definition video and then add music, images, text, and transitions before sharing them with everyone. The camera’s optics have been developed specifically and made by Carl Zeiss,and it has Auto Focus together with a mechanical shutter for big camera capabilities in a compact form factor.
Web TV!
Nokia N8 gives a true home theater understanding as well as Dolby Digital Plus surround sound. And you could plug the unit to your home theatre system using the HDMI cable. The Nokia N8 provides entrance to local and global Web TV services that deliver TV programs, news, and entertainment. Nokia N8 give local and global TV favorites directly to the home screen, you can access your favorite Tv stations like Paramount and National Geographic
Next Generation Bluetooth 3.0
One of Nokia N8 Specification is Next Gen Bluetooth 3.0 It’s compatible with new Bluetooth 3.0 enabled devices as well as backward compatible with older Bluetooth-enabled peripherals such as headsets and printers. It provides faster throughput while minimizing on power requirements. It includes profiles for communication headset, hands-free car kits, and the A2DP Bluetooth profile enabling you to wirelessly stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones or speaker dock. You can use a wireless bluetooth keyboard and mouse simultaneously.
Overall, I am pleased with this Nokia N8 . I am loving it and hope it gets even better in future software updates.
