If you’re looking for panic attack relief, you need to realize that panic attacks be cured. An anxiety is not some external thing that “attacks” you. Instead, it’s an inside job. It’s a glitch in your thinking and your responses that you can overcome with proper coaching and effort.
From the very beginning, realize that worrying about having a panic attack only makes things worse.
You have to believe that it is possible to rid yourself of this improper state of mind because that is what a panic attack is. A panic attack is not some external force. It’s state of mind. You have to change the way you react to situations. You have to come to the place for you know that you are capable of handling the situation rationally and without anxiety or panic.
When confronted with an attack the best way to handle it is changing your mindset. I realize that probably seems too simple to work, but sometimes the truth is simple. However, even though they may be simple it's not easy to immediately change responses that have become automatic, at least not on your own. As a short-term measure, you can use breathing techniques to control your reactions at the moment. These are especially effective if you practice them with meditation on a regular basis.
Another thing to know is that certain types of foods may trigger panic attacks. Be especially careful about caffeine, sugars and refined foods (especially sweets and snack foods).
